Peter and Dawn Wong opened KWFoods Chinese supermarket in 1997 to cater for the growing demand in Cantonese cuisine. Located in Brunswick road, only minutes away from Plymouth's city centre along the A374 road, it is easily accessible to wholesale and retail customers in North Devon and Cornwall via the A38 (Devon Expressway). Free parking is available at their supermarket car park or along the main road. As well as supplying authentic traditional Chinese food and ingredients to Chinese takeaways and restaurants, KWFoods also stock popular local Asian food products and brands (subject to demand) found only in supermarkets throughout North East Asia, South East Asia and India - countries such as Japan, China, Korea, The Philippines, Thailand, India, Malaysia, and Singapore. Customers seeking the unusual can order upon request exotic specialty food items not available at KWFoods (sorry, no deer penis). With their own label products, KWFoods offer customers value for money by selling large bags of bulk foods in smaller sizes. Conversant in Cantonese, Mandarin and English, Dawn Wong dedicates her time to bringing the best of the East to the West. She travels widely throughout Asia, sourcing for Asian food, exotic ingredients, recipe books and cookware for the adventurous British palate. KWFoods wholesale customers include Chinese takeaways and restaurants, Asian and non-Asian food outlets. Wholesale delivery is available through their sister company KW Brothers, a major dry food and frozen food supplier in Devon and Cornwall. Opening hours are from Monday to Sunday, 10am - 6pm. For store location and contact details, see stores.
