The character 'duang' has taken China's internet by storm.

The character "duang" is so new that it does not even exist in the Chinese dictionary. But it has already spread like wildfire online in China, appearing more than 8 million times on China's micro-blogging site Weibo, where it spawned a top-trending hashtag that drew 312,000 discussions among 15,000 users.
新词“duang”新到甚至不存在于汉语词典里。但是其在网上传播之迅猛，已在微博上出现800万次，其作为大热标签已吸引1万5000名用户的31万2000讨论量。

"Duang" seems to be an example of onomatopoeia, a word that phonetically imitates a sound.
“Duang”似乎是一个拟声词，是模仿发音造的一个词。

The word resurfaced again recently after Chan posted it on his Weibo page. Thousands of users then began to flood Chan's Weibo page with comments.
这个词最近又火了一把是因为成龙本人在微博里放了这个词。成千上万的网友蜂拥至成龙大哥的页面评论。
