在本文截稿前（2021/4/12），教授解釋這個藥也根本就還沒完成第二期臨床試驗，所以《目前第三期臨床試驗接近收尾，效果非常好》根本就是一廂情願。
至於《在 4~5 個月內就可以面市》，就更是荒誕無稽了。 Merck 公司是在 2021-3-6 發布新聞稿，宣布第二期臨床試驗的初步結果。請看Ridgeback Biotherapeutics and Merck Announce Preliminary Findings from a Phase 2a Trial of Investigational COVID-19 Therapeutic Molnupiravir（Ridgeback 生物治療公司和默克宣布從研究性 COVID-19 治療用藥 Molnupiravir 的 2a 期試驗中所獲得的初步發現）。（註：請注意《初步發現》）

該藥患者在家裡可以自己口服，5天痊癒？

另外這份新聞稿所宣布的研究發現是，根據培養細胞是否被感染的測試，47 位新冠病毒感染者在服用 Molnupiravir 之後的第五天，全都呈現陰性，而 25 位新冠病毒感染者在服用安慰劑之後的第五天，則有 19 位呈現陰性。 也就是說，縱然沒有服用 Molnupiravir，百分之 76 的感染者也會在 5 天後就不再帶有具感染力的病毒。那，請問，這樣的結果可以單純地被解讀為《口服 Molnupiravir，5 天痊癒》嗎？

該藥原理是阻止病毒ia酶，也就是阻止病毒本身複製，從而根本上很快消滅病毒？

教授分析，該藥的原理並非阻止病毒 ia 酶。事實上，新冠病毒並沒有什麼 ia 酶，而該藥也根本就不會阻止任何酶。
該藥是一種 ribonucleoside analogue（核糖核苷類似物），而它會在病毒複製時取代正常的核糖核苷，從而阻止病毒的繁殖。（註：此藥會造成基因突變，是一大隱憂）


養貂場用"莫那皮納偉"喂貂，結果發現24小時後患病的貂內沒有新冠狀病毒了，養貂場很快終止了新冠狀病毒的傳播？

教授表示《養貂場用"莫那皮納偉"喂貂，…很快終止了新冠狀病毒的傳播》是編出來的故事。事實上，不管是什麼養殖場，包括養貂場，使用未經核准的藥，都是違法的行為。 真正的實情是，一個喬治亞州立大學的團隊在今年一月發表一篇用貂做為新冠肺炎動物模型的研究，而其結果顯示Molnupiravir可以治療被新冠病毒感染的貂。請看 Therapeutically administered ribonucleoside analogue MK-4482/EIDD-2801 blocks SARS-CoV-2 transmission in ferrets（治療性給予的核糖核苷類似物 MK-4482 / EIDD-2801 阻止了 SARS-CoV-2 在貂中的傳播）。（註：MK-4482 / EIDD-2801 是 Molnupiravir 的代號）
