The Chairman of the English Football Association Greg Dyke says the country will not bid to host the World Cup while Sepp Blatter remains in charge of FIFA. He's also hopeful that someone will stand against Blatter if he decides to go for re-election in 2015. Chung Mong-gyu is one man to have declared his intent. Dyke was giving evidence to MPs in England about the way in which the 2018 and 2022 World Cups were awarded. The BBC's Sports News correspondent Richard Conway was there.

"Greg Dyke has a reputation for being a man who doesn't mince his words. He gets straight to the point, and today was absolutely no exception. He talked about how the recent FIFA congress in São Paulo was something like being from the North Korean dictatorship. It was all hailed to the leader as he put it. Now that's not gonna go down particularly well in Zurich, but it seems that Greg Dyke isn't particularly bothered about that. He doesn't believe it's a reputation or a relationship that's worth salvaging now between English football and between football's world governing body. So interesting times for the FA, for the Football Association, they've just clearly said today that they're not gonna try and bid for any FIFA tournaments. Of course, they pulled out of, trying to host the 2019 Women's World Cup just last month."
