Weybridge Garden Centre Crockford Bridge                                                         Farm has leased five acres of the site to Weybridge                                                         Garden Centre, part the UK's leading garden centre                                                         group. A large range of plants, shrubs and garden                                                         related goods are available. There's a delightful restaurant and coffee shop                                                         in which to relax and have lunch and tea. Why not get away from the office for your lunch                                                         break, do your shopping at the farm and eat at the                                                         restaurant? The Garden Centre has recently been refurbished and                                                         refitted.                                                         Kim Wilde 80's pop star and TV gardening                                                         celebrity attended the grand re-opening and                                                         children's favourite Bob The Builder was there too. They both came into the Farm Shop and enjoyed                                                         their visit.

	The Weybridge Garden                                                         Centre (previously called Wyevale) now has a Pets Department in addition to the                                                         Weybridge branch of Maidenhead Aquatics.
	The                                                         Aquatics shop has hundreds of aquariums and                                                         'everything for the Water garden'.

Exit the A3 at the Cobham (Painshill) junction                                                         and take the A245 towards Byfleet. You will soon                                                         come to traffic lights, which you cross staying on                                                         the A245.                                                         Go straight across                                                         the first roundabout (don't head towards Weybridge                                                         on Brooklands Rd).                                                         When you come to the 2nd roundabout you turn right                                                         into Sopwith Drive heading towards the Brooklands                                                         Shopping Centre. At the 3rd roundabout turn left and                                                         go past M&S and Tesco. Go straight across the 4th roundabout towards                                                         Addlestone & Chertsey on the A318. Continue on A318                                                         and you will see the signs for the farm on your                                                         right.

Exit M25 at junction 11, take the                                                         A317 towards Chertsey. Take the 3rd exit at the next                                                         roundabout, down the A318. Cross 2 sets of traffic                                                         lights and look for the signs for the farm on your                                                         left (shortly after Lance Owen Vauxhall garage).
Parking
Crockford Bridge Farm                                                         Shop, PYO and the Garden Centre have a large car park, so                                                         much more convenient and pleasant than trying to                                                         find parking in a busy town centre.

How to find us
Parkside Farm is in Hadley Road, which runs between Chase Farm Hospital on the A 1005 (Enfield Ridgeway) and West Lodge Hotel on the A111 (Cockfosters Road)
The nearest railway station is Gordon Hill which is just over 1 mile away. It is on the Letchworth to Moorgate line, and passes through Finsbury Park, which links up to the tube network.  Cockfosters tube station (Picadilly Line) is about 3 miles away but mini cabs are available.

                    A huge garden centre near Weybridge that incorporates: a farm shop, café, gelateria (the ices made with own-grown fruits), beehive, playground and 75 acres of picking fields. On our recent visit, the glut of Sonata strawberries was almost obscene. Through July feast on berries, beans, carrots, courgettes, beets and mange tout.

                  The Thompson family have managed 155 acres in Esher since 1871, and for the last 29 years they’ve run what they claim is the most extensive picking farm in the country. It’s not organic but they use a minimal amount of pesticides, preferring biological methods.                   Small but more central than some, this farm only has a couple of crops, so call ahead to find out what is currently being picked.

  Hewitts Rd, Orpington, Kent, BR6 7QR (01959 534666/ www.hewittsfarm.co.uk). Orpington rail then R3 bus or Knockholt rail then ten mins walk. 9am-5.30pm daily.                         
                  A footpath leads from Knockholt rail station over the golf course to 78 acres of family-run farmland with a shop and picking fields. Berries, courgettes, spinach and beans are available throughout July, but the expected bumper crop of 13 eating apple varieties will keep the pickers coming into the autumn.

                  Opening from late July for picking, this farm shop is run by the friendly Hinde family who keep bees and encourage bats and birds. Noisy gaggles of guinea fowl and turkeys will greet your arrival and follow your movements as you wander among the gnarly old apple and plum trees.

                  FARMA (National Farmers’ Retail & Markets Association) has awarded Enfield’s Parkside Farm the best PYO award for several years. Picking here is made easy. Pluck strawberries from tabletops then get cream (and honey) to eat them with in the shop. Around 20 different crops ripen through the seasons.
